What is Technology for Life?

Technology for Life is a project run by our social enterprise, Access Technology Scotland CIC. It began by seeking to help older people in Inverclyde get to grips with technology and begin to use the internet and other technological resources to improve their lives. In particular, it helped to reduce social isolation, improved financial situations, assisted education and learning, provided entertainment and increased online safety.

The project is now reaching groups of all ages for whom digital skills are a barrier increasing their ability and confidence with technology. Partners include Inverclyde Trust, Inverclyde Centre for Independent Living, The Scottish Dementia Working Group, Alzheimer’s Scotland and Youth Connections.
